SCORENigeria rates the individual performances of the Super Eagles in a 2-1 AFCON qualifying clash win against Sierra Leone today in Abuja.
7 – Francis Uzoho
Pulled off a big save in the 15th minute when he somehow managed to get a finger to a shot that came off the post. It was an important save as that would have doubled the Sierra Leone lead.
7 – Ola Aina
The Torino fullback was involved in the winning goal when his cross from the right was cushioned down by Moses Simon for Osimhen to finish off. He is always dangerous when he surges forward.
7 – Calvin Bassey
He has fully settled down at leftback ahead of FC Porto ace Zaidu Sanusi. Delivered a couple of crosses including one that Osimhen failed to put away after just six minutes of action. He has come to stay in the Super Eagles.
6 – William Ekong
He was decent in the heart of the defence, but on a couple of occasions he was caught for pace by the hard running Leone Stars forwards.

6 – Semi Ajayi
The West Bromwich Albion defender was really tested by the daring Sierra Leonean forwards and almost put a foot wrong in either half, but somehow the opponents could not make hay.
6 – Joe Aribo
Grafted as defensive midfielder, but his best position remains as an attacking midfielder.
8 – Alex Iwobi
For a player who does not score enough goals, he did well to draw the Eagles level soon after Sierra Leone shock lead. It was a cool finish and he seemed to enjoy himself in the heart of the midfield and not on the flanks.
8 – Victor Osimhen
Netted an opportunistic goal which proved to be the winner on the day. He also missed a couple chances. His commitment was again there for all to see.

6 – Sadiq Umar
He tried to get into the game early on, but he was unlucky some calls by the referee went against him without reason.
8 – Moses Simon
Provided the assist for both Super Eagles goals. Kept his game a little more simple, but he will still need to work on his set pieces.
5 – Samuel Chukwueze
He played below par and underlined this when he failed to put away a sitter set up for him by Osimhen early in the second half. The bigger surprise was that he was only pulled off about 10 minutes to the end.
6 – Oghenekaro Etebo
He brought more numbers and steel in the midfield to stop Sierra Leone in their tracks.
