Ligue 1 club FC Nantes could well have given up on a return of Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem after it all seemed as if all hurdles had been scaled.
Awaziem was due to fly out to France after last weekend’s games in Portugal, but this has not been the case and according to francebleu.fr Nantes have now pulled out of the transfer because of the many uncertainties surrounding it.
The initial delay was caused by Boavista failure to pay the salaries of Awaziem, but this was later resolved.
Awaziem had already agreed a four-year contract with Nantes, who were to pay his Portuguese club 1.5 Million Euros.
