It’s halftime and all-square between the Super Falcons of Nigeria and their Portuguese counterparts in Lisbon.
It has been a rather scrappy first 45 minutes of action between the two teams who are preparing for major championships next month.
Home team Portugal have created the better chances and look a lot more comfortable on the ball, while the nine-time African champions have looked dangerous in a couple of their attacking forays, but coach Justine Madugu must be concerned that they have given the ball away more often and have struggled to string passes.
Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has had to make at least two big saves to keep out the marauding Portuguese.
Hopefully, the Falcons will step up their game after the break so as not to lose this 2024 WAFCON warm-up.
Super Falcons Starting XI: Nnadozie – Usani, Oladipo, Ohale, Demehin – Ucheibe, Echegini, Babajide, Ordega, Payne – Ajibade (Captain)
