The Super Eagles striker conjured an acrobatic effort to complete his brace at FC Basel of Switzerland.
He said he drew inspiration for a similar effort by Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.
He told Canal+: “I saw Haaland do it last weekend and I was like, ‘Why not?!'”
The goal was described as “incredible” and “outrageous”.
Moffi, 23, has now scored three goals in as many games in this competition for OGC Nice after he was handed a late registration on his arrival in January on loan from fellow Ligue 1 club FC Lorient.
He also provided an assist as his French Ligue 1 club aim to reach the semifinal of the competition.
