Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has announced Wilfred Ndidi will be out of action for at least 12 weeks and may need surgery to correct a groin injury.
Ndidi suffered the injury during Leicester City 4-2 win over Burnley in the Premier League.
The injury has effectively knocked out the defensive midfielder from next month’s Super Eagles friendlies against Cote d’Ivoire and Tunisia.
Last season, the 23-year-old Ndidi was also sidelined by a knee injury for a total of about five weeks to miss some crucial matches for Leicester City.
