Golden Eaglets will no longer enjoy a walkover at the U17 AFCON after group rivals Morocco finally landed in Algeria for the competition.
The Moroccans touched down in Algeria this afternoon after a lot of uncertainties over their participation on account of the frosty political relations between the two North African countries.
At a time, Algeria offered to fly the Moroccans into their country via a special flight.
It would be recalled that Morocco boycotted this year’s CHAN also hosted by Algeria because of this problem.
The U17 AFCON kicks off tomorrow and the Golden Eaglets will tackle their Moroccan counterparts on May 3 in Constantine.
