The Golden Eaglets will finally open training camp ahead of the U17 AFCON for the WAFU Zone 2 qualifiers next week Sunday, officials told SCORENigeria
The camp is expected to be thrown open with Abuja and Port Harcourt being considered to stage the exercise.
The recently-appointed coaches led by Fatai Amoo have already been conducting screening exercises across the country in Lagos, Kano, Ibadan and Kaduna.
The U17 AFCON qualifiers will kick off on December 5 in Benin Republic with Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Togo, Burkina Faso all expected to feature.
The top two teams from this qualifying series will qualify for the U17 AFCON slated for Morocco next year.
Five-time world champions Nigeria finished third at last year’s AFCON in Tanzania to qualify for the U17 World Cup in Brazil.
