The Golden Eaglets were today upstaged 1-0 by their Moroccan counterparts in continuation of the U17 AFCON in Algeria, but a consolation for the Nigerians was defender Yahaya Lawali was again picked as the Man of the Match.
Abdel Hamid Maali shot Morocco in front very early in the match and the Young Lion Atlas held on to secure qualification to the knockout rounds of the competition from Group B.
Morocco have six points from two matches, while Nigeria are on three points.
South Africa and Zambia will play later tonight in a second group game.
The Eaglets will now need to get a result in a final group game against South Africa to go through to the next round.
