Nigeria U17s have called up Eunisell Boot winner Sunusi Ibrahim for training camp ahead of the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil after he reportedly passed an MRI age test.
Sunusi, who has also been called up to the country’s U23 team, was joint top scorer in the NPFL this past season with 10 goals for Nasarawa United.
The core of the team who placed fourth at the U17 AFCON in Tanzania led by skipper Samson Tijani has also been selected.
Thirteen players from the country’s U16 team have also been listed among the 52 players invited for the training camp, which opened today.
The five-time world champions are drawn against Australia, Hungary and Ecuador in the first round of the U17 World Cup, which kicks off on October 26 in Brazil.
