After the loss to Morocco, the Golden Eaglets will now have to battle South Africa and their Nigerian hero Michael Dokunmu to guarantee qualification to the knockout rounds of this year’s U17 AFCON.
Both Nigeria and South Africa now have three points apiece after the Amajimbos stopped Zambia 3-2 in their second game in Group B.
Winners on Saturday in Constantine will go through to the quarterfinal, while the losers will have to wait on the lottery of finishing as one of two third best losers.
Kick-off time is 8pm.
The Eaglets fell to a second minute own goal by defender Tochukwu Ogboji despite the dominance they enjoyed against Morocco.
They were simply wasteful in front of goal.
South Africa, on the other hand, proved they can score goals when they edged the Southern African Derby against Zambia with three goals.
Saturday’s showdown has been made the more interesting after the Amajimbos Nigerian hero Dokunmu snatched the winning goal against Zambia.
Dokunmu, who opted to represent South Africa where he was born, showed class when he turned sharply inside the box to fire the all-important winner.
Will he repeat such heroics Saturday night?
