Gift Orban and Victor Boniface have failed to win the Ebony Boot for the best African player in Belgium despite stellar performances by the strikers this season.
Instead the top prize went to Genk winger Mike Tresor, who scored eight goals and provided a record-breaking 23 assists.
Despite his rush of goals since January in both the Belgian league and the UEFA Europa Conference League, Orban surprisingly placed third in the voting behind runners-up Boniface.
Nigeria stars who have won this prestigious individual award include Daniel Amokachi, Victor Ikpeba, Godwin Okpara and Paul Onuachu.
