Ghana are celebrating the approval by CAF for them to use the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi for their 2022 World Cup playoff against rivals Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The 40,000-capacity stadium was even described as “a fortress” by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Twitter.
It will be best remembered by Ghanaians as where they smashed past Egypt 6-1 in a 2018 World Cup qualifier.
Black Stars fans widely boasted on social media that their team have never lost a game at the arena.
This is also the home ground of the country’s most followed club Asante Kotoko, who look set to be crowned champions this season.
The stadium in Kumasi has replaced the Cape Coast Stadium, which was rejected because of the poor state of the pitch.
The playoffs first leg will be played on March 25.
