Leading Italian daily all-sports newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that PSG have withdrawn from signing Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
The newspaper further reported that PSG never submitted a formal bid to Napoli for the striker.
Gazzetta dello Sport said the perennial Ligue 1 champions will not pay the 130 Million Euros release clause on Osimhen’s contract.
PSG will also not pay 100 Million Euros for the 25-year-old striker just as Napoli president Aurelio Di Laurentiis has stood his ground not to lower the release clause significantly.
They have now assured Randal Kolo Muani and Gonzalo Ramos they will be their strikers for the new season.
With no formal bids from the Premier League as widely expected, the options left for Osimhen now is to stay put at Napoli as his contract runs until June 2026 or to accept a lucrative offer by Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli.
