Turkish champions Galatasaray will begin the defence of their title at Gaziantep FK Friday with record signing Victor Osimhen expected to be listed on the matchday squad.
Osimhen has hit the ground running by joining team training on return to Turkey after his long-drawn transfer negotiations with Napoli.
He did not feature in the pre-season friendly against Lazio at the weekend, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
Fotomac reported that coach Okan Buruk will name Osimhen on the squad for the away game, while his direct rival for the top striker’s position, Mauro Icardi, will be overlooked because he is only just recovering from a long-term injury.
