Super Eagles winger Emmanuel Dennis, who is a free agent after his contract with Premier League club Nottingham Forest was terminated, is to begin training with top Danish club Brondby.
The 28-year-old forward will be present when the squad arrive today for the first day of training after the winter break.
Dennis is currently out of contract after leaving Premier League club Nottingham Forest this summer, where he previously trained under head coach Steve Cooper.
“Emmanuel Dennis is a player that Steve knows very well from their time together in England. That’s why it was obvious to bring him in,” said football director Benjamin Schmedes.
“We will be looking at each other over the next few days, where we will, among other things, have physical training and tests that can give us an impression of what condition Dennis is in. If it bears fruit, the initial idea is that Dennis will fly to Spain on Sunday and participate in the first half of our training camp.”
In addition to Nottingham Forest, Emmanuel Dennis has a history with clubs such as Club Brugge, Watford and most recently Blackburn.
He is also capped eight times for Nigeria.
