Frank Onyeka has been denied his first goal in the Premier League after his effort was reported as an own goal as Brentford played out a thrilling 3-3 draw at Newcastle United.
Defensive midfielder Onyeka ‘The Tank’ appeared to have put Brentford 3-2 ahead in the 61st minute.
But later reviews showed that it was Newcastle defender Jamaal Lascelles who put the ball through his own net.
‘The Tank’, who netted a superb goal in pre-season for Brentford, will therefore have to wait for his first goal in his debut season in the Premier League.
Brentford are now 14th on the table with 13 points from 12 matches.
