Defender Chidozie Awaziem was in super form for Alanyaspor to dump champions Besiktas 2-0 in continuation of the Turkish Super Lig.
Awaziem pocketed the full game Besiktas star striker Cyle Larin, who this past week scored twice for Canada to upset Mexico 2-1 in a 2022 World Cup qualifier.
Ironically, the defender was linked to a transfer to Besiktas from Boavista this past summer before he made his way to Alanyaspor.
The former FC Porto ace is on loan to Alanyaspor, who have now shot to third on the table with 24 points from 13 matches, six points behind leaders Trabzonspor.
Besiktas are a distant seventh.
