Top officials have told SCORENigeria that the double-headed U20 AFCON warm-up between the Flying Eagles and their Zambian counterparts has been shifted due to a change in the travel plans of the Southern Africans.
The Flying Eagles were scheduled to welcome Zambia to Abuja on Friday, January 27, and then three days later as part of both countries preparations for the U20 AFCON in Egypt next month.
“Zambia can no longer make it to Nigeria this week,” an official told SCORENigeria
“We will now wait and see if the matches could be moved to the first week of next month before the team depart for Morocco.”
The Flying Eagles will fly out to Morocco on February 8 on a week-long training camp before they head out to Egypt for the U20 AFCON.
They open their campaign for an eighth U20 AFCON on February 19 against Senegal.
