Flying Eagles striker Segun Otusanya has vowed to continue to score “lots of goals” for his new Norwegian club FK Haugesund.
Otusanya has signed a season-long loan deal with Haugesund with options for an extension as well as an outright purchase.
“My main quality is that I score a lot of goals. I have always done that,” the 18-year-old left-footed striker told the official website of the Norwegian club.
“It is very nice to get this contract. This is what I came here for. Now I want to focus on becoming the best player I can ever be.”
Otusanya trained with Haugesund in pre-season training camp in Marbella, Spain, as well as Norway for the past one month.
The club’s sports director Eirik Opedal said the striker will get the chance to prove himself.
“Samuel has proved to be an exciting player with very good skills, but also has areas in his game that he needs to develop in order to make his mark in the Eliteserien (Norwegian top league),” he remarked.
“We want to give him time to develop at his pace and make it possible for him to take steps through the coming year.”
