Former Flying Eagles midfielder Nnamdi Ofoborh has said he is happy he can play again after a heart condition put a hold on his promising career for an extended time.
The heart condition cost him his time at Scottish giants Rangers and now Ofoborh has staged another comeback after he signed for League Two newcomers Barnet.
“I had a long time out and thankfully to God I’m back playing, and every time I get the opportunity to do so, that’s all I want to do,” the 25-year-old Ofoborh said on arrival at his new club.
Barnet manager Dean Brennan said they have signed a good and versatile player.
“Physical, athletic, dynamic, defensive type midfielder – good in both boxes,” the Barnet boss remarked.
“Good game understanding and good schooling, that defensive player we’ve been looking for a couple of seasons now.
“He’s got a lot of calibre, and I think it’s a real food signing for us.”
