Flying Eagles fine run at the WAFU B edition of the U20 AFCON qualifiers will go up in smoke should they fail to reach the final of the tournament tonight at the expense of Cote d’Ivoire.
Kick-off time of the semifinal between Nigeria and Nigeria has been moved to 8.30 pm by the organisers.
The Flying Eagles topped Group B with four points from two matches, while Cote d’Ivoire finished as runners-up in Group A, which had hosts Niger Republic.
However, the Nigeria U20s will have to fight for their U20 AFCON qualification without their leading scorer Ahmed Abdullahi, who suffered a concussion in a final group game against Burkina Faso.
Officials disclosed Ahmed has been ruled out of the rest of the competition because of the head injury.
The HB Academy of Abuja star has scored two goals thus far in Niamey.
