The Flying Eagles have fought back to draw level 1-1 with Cote d’Ivoire and take this U20 AFCON qualifying semifinal into extra-time.
Captain Habila Simeon restored parity for Nigeria in the 68th minute after Cote d’Ivoire took the lead in the 18th minute.
It was the first goal the host country had conceded since the start of the tournament.
In the first half of extra-time, Nigeria have now taken the lead courtesy of Abubakar Aliyu.
The winners of this match will take on the winners of the other semifinal between Niger and Burkina Faso to determine the champions of WAFU B and the team to advance to next year’s U20 AFCON in Ghana.
