Flying Eagles coach Paul Aigbogun has told SCORENigeria he expects a difficult game against 2019 African Games hosts Morocco in a final Group A game on Friday in Rabat.
Burkina Faso top the group on four points by virtue of a better goals difference than Nigeria, who also have four points.
Morocco have a three points after they walked over late comers South Africa, who are bottom of the standings.
“We will remain focused, we were glad that we won, getting the maximum points, but we will not be carried away by the result and will remain focused ahead of the last group match against the host nation,” Aigbogun told SCORENigeria
“It is going to be a difficult one considering the fact that they are the host nation and need to win.
“No team has qualified from this group and it is still open to everyone so, we need to give it our best in the last group match if we want to progress in the tournament.”
The coach also promised improvements as the team advance in the tournament.
“I believe as the tournament progresses, we will keep improving as a team,” said Aigbogun.
