Interim Super Eagles coach Finidi George has said a fully-fit Kenneth Omeruo will start ahead of Benjamin Tanimu, while he is ready to change formations against Mali tonight.
Omeruo did not feature against Ghana last week on account after he suffered a knock in training.
In his place, Tanzania-based defender Tanimu made his Super Eagles debut.
“If he is fully fit, Omeruo will start today,” Finidi said in a radio interview monitored by SCORENigeria
“I was quite impressed with Tanimu on his debut. He showed a lot of composure especially when we know it is not easy to play for the national team.”
Omeruo is the most senior international in Morocco and he will captain the team ahead of Wilfred Ndidi, who led out the Super Eagles against Ghana last Friday.
Finidi played a 3-5-2 formation to the Super Eagles more presence in attack, but he said he could also try the 4-3-3 formation should his new tactics not go to plan against a robust-playing Les Aigles of Mali.
