World football governing body FIFA have ordered the NFF to pay former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr a million dollars for sacking him without a just cause.
This compensation is his full entitlement until the end of his contract in December 2022.
Rohr was unilaterally dismissed by the NFF in November 2021.
The coach subsequently took his case to FIFA for arbitration.
He demanded for a compensation of $1 Million, for NFF to pay him in USD instead of Nigerian Naira as specified in his contract and that the NFF be also sanctioned.
“For breach of contract without just cause, NFF have to pay my salaries until the end of December,” Rohr told journalist Osasu Obayiuwana.
“For me, the most important is not the money, but that the football tribunal has accepted my claim, in absence of “just cause”.
However, the NFF can appeal this ruling.
