Justice Peter Affen of the FCT High Court has reserved ruling on an application by anti-graft agency EFCC to join NFF president Amaju Pinnick and general secretary Mohammed Sanusi in an alleged theft of over $10 million FIFA grant meant for the development of football in Nigeria.
EFCC To Charge Pinnick, Sanusi
The judge said he has reserved ruling on EFCC amending their charges and will notify both parties when he will rule.
Three NFF accounts staffers have already been docked in this case – Christopher Andekin, Jafaru Mamza and Rajan Zaka.
They have pleaded not guilty.
EFCC prosecution counsel Steve Odiase has argued that Pinnick and Sanusi were the approving authorities and the accounts staffers who report to them could not have diverted the cash to their private accounts without their approval.
