After giving the Area 3 sports ground a new bright look, the FCT Football Association have begun the renovation of the pitch of the Old Parade Ground.
FCT FA chairman Adam Mouktar Mohammed has made it clear that the provision of standard facilities in the Federal Capital Territory is one of his top priorities.
“We have started giving the Old Parade Ground pitch a befitting facelift,” Mouktar Mohammed said.
“There is too much pressure on the Area 3 Ground and we need to work on alternative pitches.
“Just a few years ago this facility was hosting top league matches, but in the poor state it is now, it can no longer do so.
“We will continue to explore other ways to provide facilities for football development in the FCT.”
The renovation will take three weeks, officials disclosed.
