Recently crowned Portuguese champions FC Porto will not give Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi a permanent contract.
A top source familiar with the situation simply informed SCORENigeria that Porto have officially ended their interest to sign the 27-year-old striker permanently after his loan spell from French club OGC Nice.
“Porto have formally communicated to Nice they won’t be triggering the option to sign Moffi on a permanent deal,” the source told SCORENigeria
“His lack of minutes and numbers would have been responsible for this decision even though at a point they asked Nice to review the transfer fee for the player downwards.”
There was a clause that stipulated Porto pay eight million euros to Nice should they wish to sign the player after his loan stint.
It was gathered that several other players who played on loan at Porto this past season were also not given permanent deals.
