Fatai Gbadamosi has told SCORENigeria he hopes to get one of the country’s foremost clubs Shooting Stars back to the top flight, while also eyeing a return to Europe.
The sleek-playing defensive midfielder has been sensational for the Ibadan club this season as they aim to make a prompt return to the NPFL after they were relegated the previous season.
Gbadamosi has impressed, scoring three goals thus far including one of the goals that downed last year’s semifinalists Katsina United in an Aiteo Cup Round of 32 tie in Abuja.
“We have a very strong team who belong to the top league and they are also determined to get there after the playoffs,” he told SCORENigeria
Shooting Stars top the standings with 14 points and have two games at home against Giant Brillers and away at struggling Abia Comets to end the regular season.
“We hope to win both games to guarantee our qualification to the promotion playoffs,” he further said.
The highly-rated midfielder has already been involved with the Nigeria U23s and until recently played in Turkey for Kepezspor.
He shoots well with both feet, has a good passing range and also weighs in with his fair of goals from his defensive midfield position.
