Today’s FA Cup Final will see Wilfred Ndidi come face-to-face with the man he replaced at Leicester City N’golo Kante and who he has admitted he does not like to be compared to.
Kante was one of the reasons for Leicester City incredible Premier League conquest five years ago.
The reward for his efforts with the history-making ‘Foxes’ was a transfer to the higher profiled Chelsea.
Leicester then moved quickly to replace the France world Cup champion with Ndidi, who has gone on to carve his own niche in the Premier League so much so that he has said it annoys him when he is compared to the former Leicester City hero.
Both players have posted staggering stats as ball winners ahead of today’s Cup Finalists.
So far, Kante has played 193 games in the Premier League, while Ndidi has 144 games under his belt.
For ball recoveries, Kante has 1502 and Ndidi 1216, while the Chelsea star has made 612 tackles and the Nigeria star 563 tackles.
Kante has made 470 interceptions and Ndidi has 308.
Ndidi is 24 years, while Kante is six years older.
Today’s Cup Final kicks off 5.15pm.
