Goalkeepers Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Theophilus Afelokhai as well as striker Mfon Udoh have been called up to beef up the Nigeria U23s for Sunday’s 2021 CHAN playoff in Togo.
Mfon Udoh of Akwa United was last season’s joint top scorer of the NPFL.
Other NPFL stars invited are Samuel Matthias (Akwa United), Ogene Elijah (Plateau United) and Sikiru Alimi (Lobi Stars).
The U23 stars on the CHAN Eagles squad are Ebube Duru, John Lazarus, Seth Maye, Olisa Nda, Fatai Gbadamosi, Williams Ukeme as well as Ndifreke Effiong, who scored twice in an U23 AFCON playoff against Sudan in Asaba.
The CHAN Eagles will take on Togo on Sunday in Lome.
