SCORENigeria can exclusively report that the NFF technical committee is scheduled to meet with coach Eric Chelle to discuss his final squad for the 2025 AFCON.
The committee wishes to ensure that only deserving players make the final cut.
A top official told SCORENigeria: “There is an urgent need to reorganise the national team, we need younger and more committed players to be playing for Nigeria.
“We can no longer be carrying on with players who are struggling for game time at their clubs, players for the Super Eagles have to be playing regularly for their clubs.”
Eric Chelle is expected to fly into Abuja for this meeting, which will be before the 2025 AFCON training camp opens on December 10.
The Super Eagles are drawn in a first round group with Tunisia, Tanzania and Uganda.
