Debutants Sporting Lagos became the first Nigerian club to win the U17 Elite Boys tournament with a 4-0 spanking of FC Tokyo from Japan in the final.
Akomolede, 17, caught the eye with his incredibly long throws that earned him four assists and he also scored a great goal in the final.
However, he can only sign a pro contract when he clocks 18.
