Both Oghenekaro Etebo and William Ekong are fully fit for the all-important World Cup playoffs against Ghana after they featured for Watford in a training match.
Etebo has only recently returned from a long-term injury that needed surgery, while Ekong became a major doubt for the World Cup playoffs after he suffered a muscle strain in training with his Premier League club recently.
Etebo is favourite to start for the Super Eagles in defensive midfield should Wilfred Ndidi be ruled out of the matches against Ghana.
Eagles coach Augustine Eguavoen has already assured Ekong will be available for selection against the Black Stars even following fears surrounding his full fitness.
Fellow Watford star Emmanuel Dennis, who has also been called up for the Ghana battles, featured in the practice match after their club’s Premier League game was postponed.
