Enyimba today crashed out of the CAF Champions League after they failed to beat Al Ahli Benghazi in a preliminary round second leg match in Aba.
Both teams played out a goalless draw for the Libyans to go through 4-3 on aggregate having won the first leg in Benghazi by that scoreline a week ago.
Enyimba dominated the home leg from start to finish, but resolute defending by the North Africans ensured they qualified at the expense of the two-time champions.
This is the first time since 2015 that the Nigerian champions were eliminated at the preliminary stage of the tournament.
