Enyimba coach Usman Abdalla has said he expects a big battle against Lobi Stars today in continuation of the NPFL championship play-offs in Lagos.
Enyimba were stunned by Kano Pillars 2-0 Friday after the game was moved to the next day following heavy rain.
Kano Pillars lead the standings on four points from two matches, while Enyimba are fifth on three points same with Lobi Stars and Enugu Rangers, who enjoy a better goals difference.
“They (Lobi) are also in the same situation we are in with Rangers and that is where it’s going to be a big battle because everybody is looking for a win to go on top,” Enyimba coach Abdalla said.
“We are going to take it serious. All the players understand the situation that we are in, so it’s not going to be a big problem. The only thing is just to calm down and then keep concentration and we keep focus and go back and give the same good performance.”
The overall winners of the playoffs along with the runners-up will represent Nigeria at the 2020 CAF Champions League, while the team who place third feature in the CAF Confederation Cup.
