Today, Enugu Rangers have been crowned NPFL champions after they recorded an unassailable 67 points courtesy of a 2-0 home win over Bendel Insurance, while closest rivals Remo Stars and Enyimba both lost with a round of matches to the end of the season.
This is their eighth championship with their last achieved in 2016.

Remo Stars (62 points) fell 2-1 at Sunshine Stars and Enyimba (60 points) lost 2-1 to relegation-troubled Sporting Lisbon.
Fourth-placed Shooting Stars also lost 2-1 at Bayelsa United after a late brace by John Bassey after Christian Pyagbara gave the visitors a 26th minute lead.
Kenechukwu Agu put Rangers in front after 32 minutes, before Chidiebere Nwobodo doubled the lead of the home team on 65 minutes.
This means their final game of the season away to already relegated Gombe United with be a mere formality.
