Emmanuel Dennis has not given up he could still make a big-money transfer away from Belgian champions Club Brugge, while he has given reasons for his admiration for both Jose Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Dennis has been linked with a move to a top European club from Club Brugge, who want 25 million Euros for him.
However, no club have come up with such cash less than three weeks to the end of the transfer window.
However, during an interview with Het Laaste Nieuws Dennis was asked if this would probably be his last interview in Belgium and he answered: “I hope so…”
Dennis is widely regarded as a big-game player, who rises to the occasion when the stakes are highest, and so his admiration for Ronaldo.
“I am doubly motivated for a top match,” he admitted.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is the ultimate big game player – hence my enormous admiration for him.
“I am a competition animal. It should not be too easy for me.”
He is also a big fan of Spurs manager Mourinho.
“When José Mourinho calls, I sign immediately. He is the only one, for that matter. I am a huge fan of Mourinho – the best manager in the world. Many African footballers love him,” he said.
The Premier League is also to him the best in the world.
“The Premier League is the best competition in Europe,” he said.
But he will not be happy to go to a club in a boring city.
“The city I end up in is very important. I love good vibes. I’m not going to Boring City,” he warned.
