Emmanuel Dennis has taken a hefty 70% pay cut to make a shock return to former club Watford, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Super Eagles forward will be on loan at the English Championship club after a forgettable loan stint at Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir.
He failed to score a goal in eight appearances for the Turkish Super Lig side.
The left winger will now hope to reproduce the form he displayed in his debut season in the Premier League with Watford when he netted 12 goals and provided eight assists.
However, such impressive numbers could not save Watford from relegation.
Dennis remains a player of Premier League club Nottingham Forest.
