Rivers United hopes of reaching the knockout rounds of the CAF Confederation Cup were dealt a huge blow after a first-half brace by Nigeria striker Kingsley Eduwo consigned them to a 3-0 defeat at Club Africain tonight.
Tunisian Club Africain thus consolidated their group leadership to nine points, while Rivers United remain third on six points from four matches.
Dreams FC of Ghana are second also on nine points after they thrashed pointless APC Lobito from Angola 4-0 at home today.
