Tyronne Ebuehi has completed his remarkable comeback to the game after almost two years out of action when he debuted for FC Twente in a 2-0 home win over Fortuna Sittard.
The defender, who is on a season-long loan from Benfica with an option for Twente to buy, started the game before he was replaced in the 73rd minute.
“I put a lot of energy into the game,” said Ebuehi, wearing a new Afro hairstyle, after the game.
The Super Eagles defender had revealed he thought his career was over when he suffered a long-term injury at Benfica two years ago.
