DR Congo have fired back at a petition by the NFF seeking to throw them out of the 2026 World Cup.

The NFF have confirmed that they have filed a petition against DR Congo for fielding several ineligible players in a final CAF 2026 World Cup Playoffs last month.
DRC responded to the Nigerian move with very strong words.
“If you can’t win on the pitch, don’t try to win from the back door,” they fired back on their official X handle
“The World Cup has to be played with dignity and confidence. Not with lawyers’ tricks.
