Terem Moffi today completed a record eight million Euros transfer to French Ligue 1 club Lorient from KV Kortrijk after a stunning start in Belgium.
Lorient announced he has signed a four-year contract with option for an additional year.
The 21-year-old striker, who scored five goals in nine league games for Kortrijk since his move from Lithuania in January, has been handed jersey No 13.
He could make his debut as early as Sunday at Metz.
Reports suggested that negotiations between Kortrijk and Lorient were long and bitter as the player has been in France since early last week and only signed today.
Moffi is the second most expensive signing by Lorient.
Lorient are an ambitious club who won Ligue 2 championship last season and are now back in the French top league.
