Angelo Agbejoye has now been granted a work permit to feature for Swedish club Djurgarden.
Agbejoye was presented by Djurgården as a new signing back in June. However, the 19-year-old has not been able to appear in the Allsvenskan because he did not have a work permit.
“The reason for this is that the chip in Angelo’s passport was broken as a result of wear and tear. This caused the Document Verification Unit at the Swedish Migration Board to have to verify the passport. On top of this, this case arose in the middle of the busy holiday season, which meant that it dragged on,” Djurgården explained on their website.
But now everything is resolved. The work permit has been approved and Agbejoye is allowed to play in the Allsvenskan and the Swedish Cup.
