Cyriel Dessers crowned his league debut for KRC Genk with the winning goal after substitute Paul Onuachu drew the team level at hosts Zulte Waregem today.
Zulte Waregem went ahead in the first half of this opening game in Belgium.
Onuachu then came off the bench to restore parity for Genk 20 minutes from time, before Dessers netted the winner from the penalty spot.
Super Eagles invitee Dessers, who joined hometown club Genk for the new season, could have scored a hat-trick, but he missed two easy chances in the second half.
