Cyriel Dessers has promised more goals in Serie A for US Cremonese after he netted his first goal for the promoted team against Napoli.
Dessers gave Cremonese the lead on Sunday, but table toppers Napoli fought back to win 4-1 to deny the home team a famous victory.
“First goal in Serie A and doing so in front of the home fans was a great feeling,” Dessers tweeted in Italian to celebrate his milestone goal.
“We continue to improve.
“Up to the next game! Forza Cremo!!”
Cremonese will hope for more goals by the Super Eagles so that they escape relegation.
They are second from bottom on the table with four points.
Dessers teamed up with the Italian club this past summer from Belgian club Genk.
David Okereke is the other Nigeria star at Cremonese.
