Cyriel Dessers has again made a strong case for him to be given a second chance in the Super Eagles after he scored twice for Feyenoord to beat Marseille 3-2 in a UEFA Europa Conference League semifinal.
Dessers, who made his Super Eagles debut against Tunisia in 2020, is now the leading scorer in the Conference League with 10 goals.
However despite his goals for Dutch giants Feyenoord this season, Dessers has so far being overlooked by the Super Eagles.
Last season, he played second fiddle to fellow Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu at Belgian club Genk.
He opted to play for Nigeria ahead of Belgium, where his father hails from.
