It will now be a battle of two Nigeria stars for central midfield spot at English Championship side Reading after Watford sent Tom Dele-Bashiru out on loan.
Dele-Bashiru, who has been capped by the Flying Eagles, will now have to slug it out with Super Eagles target Ovie Ejaria for a place in the Reading first team.
Reading are hoping for a change of fortune in the new season after they missed out on promotion to the Premier League last term.
The 21-year-old central midfielder has only just recovered from a long-term injury.
He joined Watford after he was released by the Manchester City U23s in July 2019.
