Daryl Dike’s successful loan spell at English Championship side Barnsley has boosted his transfer market value to now rank him in the Top 5 in the Major League Soccer (MLS).
Orlando City striker Dike, 21, netted nine goals in 19 English Championship games last season.
He has also scored twice in four games on his return to the MLS.
His market value has now shot up by 60%, from 5.5 Million Euros to 8 Million Euros, to tank him among the five most valuable players in the MLS.
“Dike is on the path of becoming a US superstar,” Transfermarkt Junior Area Manager North America Dominic Becker said.
“During his loan spell at Barnsley, he highlighted that he could make the step to Europe, and it is only a question of time until he makes that step permanently.”
