Aalborg newly appointed sports director Inge Andre Olsen has disclosed he has recommended Ifeanyi Mathew to the Danish club.
Mathew, 23, will run out his contract at Norwegian club Lillestrom on July 31 and so can move to Denmark as a free agent.
“He’s one of several players we are looking at,” Olsen told Eurosport, adding he recommended the midfielder to the Danish club.
“We know him well and he will fit in at the club.”
Mathew, who twice snubbed Norwegian giants Rosenborg last year, revealed the Aalborg interest last week.
The attacking midfielder has played four years in Norway within which time he enjoyed a loan stint at Turkish second division club Osmanlispor.
